What does HVLP mean?

HVLP stands for High Volume Low Pressure. HVLP sprayers use high volumes of air at low pressures which atomizes coatings so that they can be sprayed.

What should I use to clean my sprayer?

Always check the back of the material container for an appropriate cleaning solution.
Water or latex materials will generally clean up with warm soapy water.
Oil based materials will typically clean up with mineral spirits

Do I have to thin the material?

This will depend on which front end you use.
The iSpray font end – This front end will not require thinning.
The Detail front end – This front end may require thinning.

Can I spray lacquer with my sprayer?

No, a solvent based lacquer can’t be used; some water based lacquers are acceptable.
