Any water based or oil based paints or finishes can be used with the Studio Plus Sprayer. Just clean with the correct thinner when you're done. Latex paints (emulsion) may require some thinning.

Can you use the detail nozzle to spray thinned latex?

Asked by: RollTide
Sure you can, thin between 10-20% with water. Spray from 6" away from project. Adjust gun to remove spit which is caused by too much fluid in the airflow. Cut down on fluid and spit goes away first. For more tips and tricks call technical support at 800-328-8251.

What's the difference between a control finish nozzle and a detail finish nozzle?

One is gray and one is blue. I'm not sure which is better for which project.
Asked by: Jodi
The detail finish nozzle (blue) is meant for fine finishing such as cabinetry, furniture or trim. It will atomize the material better for a smoother finish. The control nozzle is more general purpose such as spraying a wall or deck.
