Rated 2 out of 5 by from fast but not a great finish The finish this thing provides looks more like a roller than a sprayer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wish it would work better as advertised I tried using it a dozen times or so with my chalk type paints. It seems to me you have to water down paint so it would spray for one. Which makes using chalk paint less effective in my opinion. I love chalk paint as it's thick, and fills in scratches etc on whatever your painting. So needing to water down to use the sprayer defeats the purpose of chalk paint! I played with the adjustable nozzle trying to get a good finish. I tried to love it but just kept clogging, or splattered finish. I've cleaned it properly, and made sure to follow steps. Not happy....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am a do-it yourself craft kind of girl I purchased the sprayer 2 weeks ago and painted 20 kitchen doors in less than 1 hour... They really look great. I will never paint furniture or cabinets with a paint brush or a roller again. OMG LOVE this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eady to use I love this sprayer it's so easy to use. Works great and easy clean up. I've had it about 1 1/2 years now. I've even sprayed my daughters exterior rock on her house with it. Fun to use. I just want to paint everyday with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to use. Great coverage I bought this to help with staining outdoor furniture due to a shoulder injury. I ended up using it to paint walls as well. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The wagner home decor sprayer I do upholstery and paint furniture. I wanted a way to get rid of the brush strokes. I practiced a bit before I used my sprayer. I had to water down the paint to get the coverage I wanted. I sprayed two coats on my antique sofa and I loved how it looked. It was also a time saver. I am looking forward to using the sprayer on all my chalk painting project. Thank you for making a wonderful sprayer at an affordable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm! I used this sprayer to apply interior satin paint to 10 full size doors and 30 kitchen cabinet doors. The finish was nice and smooth. You DO have to play around with the settings and practice your painting technique before starting. I had great fun with this unit and thought it was well worth the price paid for it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inexpensive sprayer to get started without having to purchase other items. I have used the Wagner Home Decor sprayer several times and love the time saving it provides, as well as the even coat when using a topcoat. I have discovered a lot less clogging issues when I strain the product before adding it to the fill cup. Cleaning all parts very well between uses is essential to keeping it working.

i would like to paint concrete block walls in my basement. i have a white drop ceiling.  will over spray be a problem? do i have to cover the ceiling?

Asked by: cindy1906
There is always some overspray whenever you are spraying paints. In this case you should be able to hold a shield in one hand to block the overspray from the ceiling. Or you can tape and drape it too! For tips abou spraying paint call us at 800-328-8251.

Hi, I want to paint the lattice work on an outdoor fence...how do I keep it from spraying neighbours fence?

Asked by: Linrob
The Home Decor is very controllable and can be so precise that you almost don't miss your target at all. But spraying paint is all about preparation, the spraying part is easy and fun. Protect the things you don't want sprayed before you spray and the job is much easier. Professional painters would use a shield. It could be a sheet, a tarp, cardboard? Anything to block where the paint will miss it's target and also to catch any overspray that may occur. For more tips and tricks call us at 800-328-8251.

Looking through the questions, not much on acrylic paint. Acrylic paint okay to use? Assuming okay, but wanted to be sure.

Asked by: Christopher
Any water based or oil based paint, including acrylic paints can be sprayed with the Home Decor HVLP.

1. How much thinning is required with water based semi-gloss interior paint? 2. How much time do I have for interruptions before paint would dry and clog the sprayer? (water based)

Asked by: The Captain
1. No more than 20% thinning with water for water based paints. Start at 10%. 2. I leave paint in the sprayer all day long. Scrape off the tip with your fingernail before spraying each time. 3. Break the sprayer down at the end of the day and clean it properly.

Hi,  I would like to know the power or the number of watts of this unit ?

Asked by: Meubles
HVLP sprayers are usually rated by stages or PSI output. This is a one stage turbine that operates at about 1.8PSI. I hope that helps. For more answers call us at 800-328-8251.

i have a natural wicker chair that was spray painted and is chipping. Would I need to spray Kilz first before repainting it? Would it need sanded first? It is a mess but a great chair. Home Decor looks like the perfect answer to refinish it. thx

Asked by: teeg
Kilz is a great primer for covering problem areas and can certainly be applied first before your color coat of paint. To remove the chips a brass wire brush used gently to remove any loose paint first, then you shouldn't require sanding beyond that. One coat of primer and two coats of color should look great!
