Its out of warranty and im sure wagner will careless as there is another mislead customer behind me to buy this garbage.lowes wont replaced it since after 90 days. now i have to shell out another few hundred to finish this door. pure garbage glad wagner is enjoying my money and laughing all the way to the bank.japan garbage. thanks wanger! glad you have allowed me to serve our country to purchase this useless thing. i could of just threw my money out the window driving down the street at least it would been better spent helping someone in need.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from waste of money I bought the sprayer not quite a year ago. Used it to paint one bedroom and it actually worked pretty well but needs cleaning constantly. Started second bedroom and motor is giving out and sounding like a grinder. I guess you get what you pay for...don't pay for this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked like a charm The only experience I had was with a "way old" Wagner that made a lot of noise and somewhat of a pain. Well let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised with the Wagner 790 that I purchased this morning to paint a steel end dump trailer with an oil base automotive paint. That thing performed beautifully. I would estimate I covered 130 square feet of area with lots of nooks and crannies. Used less than a gallon of paint. I love the new venturi design. It really puts out a good pattern that's easy to control. I primarily bought it to paint my dump trailer, but I'll definitely be using it for other projects.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible sprayer I received this sprayer as a Christmas present and only used once to spray paint a fence. After about the fourth time of refilling the container the sprayer sounded like a grinder and started to smoke. Unfortunately for me it was over a year old and whatever warranty it had was over. So I took it apart thinking I might be able to fix it if it were broken or used up it’s brushes. Well the motor is a sealed unit and there is no way of fixing it. Well there goes $150 and there is no way to fix it. I guess I’ll be buying another different brand sprayer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Performance I bought this to replace an Old Wagner Sprayer that I borrowed from my Dad, that of course failed after years and years of Service! The Performance was Excellent and made painting our 12' x 16' Deck including rails and steps a lot less time consuming. I suggest that you thoroughly Clean the Gun out after every use, especially with a quick setting paint such as a Water Based Latex! Pay very close attention on how the unit goes back together as well, making sure all pieces are snug and secure, but not too tight. If asked I will definitely tell my family & friends that this Sprayer is the one to buy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It got the job done but... I bought this unit to replace my power painter plus model 320 with the backpack tank for material. Preparing our home to put it on the market. I was a smoker and the ceiling was badly stained with nicotine. I had my 320 since 2003 but hadn’t used it in years. My plan was to spray the ceiling with Kiltz 2 latex using my 320. After all the prep was done I loaded my backpack tank and started priming the sprayer. That didn’t work out so well, the piston seized just as the material reached the new swirl valve and of course parts aren’t available in my little podunk town so it was time to shop for a new sprayer. The Wagner website is ok but could be a lot easier to use. My choice was the Flexio 2000 because of the ability to spray in an upward angle above 45 degrees. The podunk town factor limited me to the 590 so that’s why I’m here. I was concerned the Kiltz 2 was going to be a bit too thick to prime but it didn’t seem to ne a issue. The pattern was good and the volume of material was great. I was able to take my time and everything was working as I had hoped. As time went on the volume of material increased and could not be contrived by the adjusting knob. It didn’t have an effect in any position I tried. I was able to complete the project and it looks great but I had to work really fast in order to keep the material from being too heavy. There was more over spray than I’ve ever seen. I think the most of it came from the inability to spray at greater than the 45 degree limit. I was afraid to tilt it up too far because I didn’t want to damage the turbine and void the warranty. The picture of the lady painting her ceiling is misleading in my opinion. There should be a disclaimer large enough to notice that says not recommended for overhead use. I am satisfied with the finished project but it was a lot harder than it had to be. My old 320 would have knocked it out in less time and with less over spray. Wagner makes great painting products but it is very important to get the right one for the project at hand. 4 stars for the uses not being clear enough on the packaging. If I had not read the manual and information on the website I would have destroyed the sprayer and wasted 150 bucks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to use!! Bought this to paint furniture. I’ve only used the detail sprayer and it works excellent. So easy to clean up as well.

Is there an attachment that would enable my 790 to draw paint directly from a 5 gallon pail of paint? I am painting a large area and find that constantly having to refill the material container is annoying.

Asked by: DAVE01
There is no attachment to draw directly from a 5 gallon pail because the Flexio 590 does not actually draw material up from the container. When the motor is turned on and the trigger is pulled it forces air into the container through the little tube on top of the nozzle/cup assembly. That pushes air up the suction tube and out the front of the gun. The Flexio 970 or 990 has a pump attached that will allow up to use a gallon or 5 gallon container. Can you spray sealer?  Like Thompson’s I’m sure but what about polyurethane?

Asked by: Robs
To spray polyurethane you should use the detail finish front end. This will give you better atomization for a nicer finish. It shouldn't require thinning, but you can thin up to 20%. Adjust the sprayer to eliminate spitting, usually caused by too much fluid in the air. Cut down on fluid flow to eliminate spitting. For more tips call us at 800-328-8251.

Will it spray silver flake in paint

Asked by: Rosko
We don't suggest the use of particulate in our sprayers as it can cause premature wear and tear on the needle/nozzle section of the spray gun. This can affect the warranty on those parts, but they are replaceable. For more help call us at 800-328-8251.
