Control Spray Max Sprayer

$ 129.99
The Wagner Control Spray Max sprays materials in patterns from 1/2" to 12" wide with optimum control and precision making it superior to brushes and spray cans for fine finish work. HVLP technology uses a high volume of air at low pressure to atomize materials into fine particles. This results in a professional finish with virtually no overspray.

Control Spray Max Finishing Sprayer is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good sprayer for small to medium jobs. I used it on a new fence. Used acrylic solid stain and plugged up every 5min. I thinned (manufacturer said not to), and it worked fine. I guess I’ll only use it with a thin to medium fluid paint products. Had to back brush per manuf instructions for spray application, but still better than a brush.

I purchased the Control Max sprayer and am curious regarding the difference between the front end that came with the unit and The Detail Finish Nozzle part number 0529013. If there is a difference between the two, which would work best for spraying stain

Asked by: Sibot
The Control Spray Max comes with the detail finish nozzle (0529013). They are the same and are just right for controlled stain application, like cabinets or woodwork.

I purchased a model 0518080 Control Spray Max HVLP Sprayer in 2016 and recently broke the nozzle. I've searched the site and have had no luck finding a replacement. Do you still keep parts for that model in stock and if so how may I obtain that nozzle?

Asked by: R L Berg
We sure do have parts in stock, just give us a call to place an order at 800-328-8251.

Is there an accessory available to allow drawing paint directly from the bucket? Pouring paint from a 5 gal. bucket into the included cup seems daunting. My last Wagner sprayer had that accessory included with the kit.

Asked by: TeeMo
You cannot draw paint directly from the can using HVLP sprayers, except our Flexio 990 and 970 models which have a pump for moving paint to the spray gun. Check them out at www.wagnerspraytech.com

What is the difference between this sprayer and the "Wagner Flexio 4000"? They look similar except for switching the yellow and black colors

Asked by: Erik
The Flexio has more power and will spray thicker material easier than the Control Spray.

The Control max comes with a fine finish nozzle, but there is no hose on the side. What is the purpose of the side hose on the replacement #0529013?

Asked by: Dan C
All HVLP cups are pressurized with air from the system. That clear tube is where the air goes into the cup. Cup that don't have the tube have an internal tube through the gun head for that purpose. Without pressure in the cup, to push paint into the gun head for spraying, nothing will spray.

I need to spray epoxy primers and epoxy paints. What is the best economical sprayer for the job? Thank you in advance

Asked by: Gaylord
Epoxy products usually dry very quickly causing damage to the seals we don't recommend using epoxy products in any of our Wagner products. We do have some units in our Titan contractor line that can help you with this application. If you have any other questions or would like to inquiry about our Titan line please call us at 1-800-328-8251.
