- Pattern adjustment can be horizontal or vertical and wide or narrow
- Adjustable paint flow to match covering speed and project size
- Adjustable for full coverage, precise control and low overspray

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from paint I liked the overall experience, however I wish I could load more paint. The only other complaint it tends to be difficult to pour paint from a 1 gl. can into the plastic container

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mr Sig from Good sprayer for small to medium jobs. I used it on a new fence. Used acrylic solid stain and plugged up every 5min. I thinned (manufacturer said not to), and it worked fine. I guess I’ll only use it with a thin to medium fluid paint products. Had to back brush per manuf instructions for spray application, but still better than a brush.

will the max control sprayer work with Sherwin Williams super deck paint
Sherwin William Super Deck Paint recommend: Airless Pressure- 2000 psi with Spray Tip- 015"-.017". After application, while the material is still wet, back brush to force the material into the wood fibers and to achieve a uniform appearance. Control Spray Max is a HVLP sprayer and it won't be strong enough to handle this coating. Please give our technical support a call at 1-800-328-8251 and we will be able to assist you.

how well does this spray latex paint
Control Spray Max is best used on your fine finish projects such as spraying cabinets, furniture, doors, trim etc. It will provide a smoother, finer finish. You will need to dilute your latex paint to get a fine finish. You can thin your paint with water up to 8 ounces of water per gallon. is my assumption of the difference between the pressure control and material flow sound right? pressure control is how many psi's are supplied to the nozzle, whereas the material control is how much material is sucked out of the fluid container?
That is correct. Except that there is no suction in the container. It's pressurized with air, which pushes fluid up into the gun for spraying. For thick paints keep the power up high and the paint flow low for the best atomization. Get more help at 1-800-328-8251.

Can I use any kind of paint like oil base, water base, acrylic base?
Yes you can, water and oil based paints and stains are fine. No lacquer. Good luck with your projects.

This says it can spray thicker paints without thinning, specifically do u know if I could spray kilz primer without having to thin?
For Kilz primers we suggest something stronger, like the Flexio line of HVLP. https://www.wagnerspraytech.com/?s=flexio

I purchased the Control Max sprayer and am curious regarding the difference between the front end that came with the unit and The Detail Finish Nozzle part number 0529013. If there is a difference between the two, which would work best for spraying stain
The Control Spray Max comes with the detail finish nozzle (0529013). They are the same and are just right for controlled stain application, like cabinets or woodwork.

I purchased a model 0518080 Control Spray Max HVLP Sprayer in 2016 and recently broke the nozzle. I've searched the site and have had no luck finding a replacement. Do you still keep parts for that model in stock and if so how may I obtain that nozzle?
We sure do have parts in stock, just give us a call to place an order at 800-328-8251.

Is there an accessory available to allow drawing paint directly from the bucket? Pouring paint from a 5 gal. bucket into the included cup seems daunting. My last Wagner sprayer had that accessory included with the kit.
You cannot draw paint directly from the can using HVLP sprayers, except our Flexio 990 and 970 models which have a pump for moving paint to the spray gun. Check them out at www.wagnerspraytech.com
