Broke after 5 minutes of use
Mine quit working about 5 minutes of use. I believe it is the switch. Can I purchase the switch?

Stopped working after second day of use
I bought this to shrink shrink wrap on electrical connections. It worked great the first day I used it but on the second day after a couple of uses it didn't turn on.

Bought due to the reputation of the company
Yes, I bought this heat gun due to the reputation of Wagner. My husband and I own two of their paint sprayers. So for me it was a no brainer. It worked great the first, second and third time I used it. Even the fourth time it worked great, but sadly it has refused to turn on since then. I've carried it with me trying to see (more like praying) that it was an outlet problem. After the three in my office two in reception one in the breakroom and the four at home. Well, I'm sadden to report this.... it's the gun, not the outlets. It just refuses to turn on. What am I doing with it you ask? I'm heating brass glue nozzles to clean the glue out so they can be reused on our machine that seals the boxes closed. Now working in manufacturing I realize that on occasion you’re going to come across a "Problem Child" and I'm really hoping that is the case here. I have faith that Wagner will do right by me and take care of the issue. Yes, I will buy more Wagner products because they are a great company. I'm giving the "WAGNER - HT400 HEAT GUN" an excellent rating just from the times it did work, it was excellent and as I said before, in manufacturing you will have a "Problem Child" on occasion and I truly feel that is the case here.

Great size!
I received this item for free in exchange for my honest review. I used this heat gun to affix wall vinyl stickers to my daughter's room. It is light weight and easy to handle. It worked very well for what I needed and I would definitely recommend it!

Great heat gun
Great heat gun awesome with a variety of uses. I noticed on colder days, it does take a while to heat up (like half a minute), but it isn't too bad. I have actually used this in a variety of projects.
I am a DIY electronics person. I've used this to shrink heat shrink tubing, and it is great for that. It also worked for remelting hot glue so i can reshape it. I used to use a soldering iron for doing that and it always ends up in a mess.
I also shoot archery. Sometimes the arrow inserts/tips of my arrows either fully come out or partially come out when I accidentally shoot it into something hard. I find that by blowing the insert with this heat gun a tiny bit, I loosens it just enough for easier removal from the arrow shaft. I also found that by heating up the insert and tips with this, I expand the metal just enough so the residual super glue peels off. Works great for that. Remember to use pliers though as this heat gun gets mighty hot.

The perfect size
This HT400 heat gun is a top quality item. It is very light weight, heats up quickly and is the perfect size to use with just one hand. It comes with a stand attached to it for easy use. The front tip of the heat gun is just the right size for most of your everyday jobs. It plugs into a normal electric wall outlet. Definably purchase this heat gun you will not be disappointed I have no doubt that you will be completely satisfied with it's functions. Please remember to keep out of the reach of children as it does heat up to be very hot quickly.

Does the job!
My favorite thing about this heat gun is how fast it heats up. Secondly I appreciate that you can hold it just fine, without worrying about loosing control during my crafting. Also the cord is long enough to be plugged in below my table and still have enough length for me to comfortably use it. I used it to help me transfer vinyl and it works great. I would definitely recommend it!

Does the HT400 have a recommended time limit for continuous operation? How long can it be left running and if it needs to stop periodically, how long should it be allowed to cool before starting again?
The HT400 can be used for extended periods for homeowner projects ranging from crafts to price tag removal. If the unit gets overheated it will shut itself down and it can take about 20 minutes of cooling before it can start up again.
